Cultural offer

Bobolice commune, with the assistance centers, public institutions, active associations and parishes, creates a rich cultural offer both for local residents and tourists. In the annual calendar of events, there's something for everyone, because we care about the variety on offer. Among the most important ones there are, amongst others.: Bobolice Days, Harvest Festival, Parish games, Walrusing, Easter meeting with tradition combined with a fair, Children's Day, Midsummer Night, Organ Concerts as part of the International Organ Festival in the Ascension of the Virgin Mary church  in Bobolice, Pilgrimage Fair, Independence Day, Meeting with Christmas tradition and a Fair.

 

The most important cultural centers in the Commune are:

 

Municipal - Communal Cultural Centre in Bobolice

– which organizes and conducts cultural activities and organizes and runs activities in the field of physical culture. As part of the work of MCCC there are 3 folklore groups, 3 dance and vocal groups, 2 rock bands, 3 guitar groups, a Band of Small Theatre Forms and a Singing Poetry Group. The following constitute the object-oriented database of the Municipal Culture Center: the Regional Museum, Tourist Information Centre, Municipal Stadium, and community centers in the rural villages of Gozd, Porost, Chmielno, Głodowa, Kurowo, Krepa, Kłanino and Dargiń.

The Regional Museum in Bobolice

(the only regional museum in the county of Koszalin), operating in the structures of the MCCC, transformed in 2013 from the Museum Chamber into the Regional Museum, fulfills a very important cultural role in the Commune. The museum collects, stores and provides exhibits: archaeological, military, tools and everyday objects, both formerly German and imported by Polish settlers after World War II, all the documents relating to the history of the town of Bobolice, the Bobolice area and the Middle Pomerania. In addition, it collects coins, badges and medals, works of folk and fine art and natural specimens. Part of the collection is available to visitors in the form of permanent exhibitions in seven departments: archaeological, ethnographic, art galleries, the history  of Bobolice, military, prison art, nature.


 

Municipal and Communal Public Library in Bobolice

Municipal and Communal Public Library in Bobolice has been a local cultural institution since 2009 and manages one branch of the library in Dargiń within the area of the Commune. The library performs its activities not only related to librarianship, but also runs classes for preschoolers, children and young people from primary and secondary schools in the town and commune of Bobolice. Pupils of the Rehabilitation and Educational Center in Bobolice and pupils of the Community Self-help Centre “Odnowa” also participate in the classes. The library promotes reading through nationwide actions, i.e.: ,, National Reading ", ,”A day of reading aloud”, ,,All Poland Reads to Kids ".
